Welcome to Among Friends
A little corner of vintage, beautiful things and all the comforts of home.
Among Friends is my passion project. I’m Lisa Delasalle, a lifelong lover of vintage, interiors, theatre and the stories that make a house feel like home.
A mother of three grown-up children, I’ve lived in South Africa, Australia and the UK, and travelled extensively along the way. Those experiences have given me a love of different places, people, styles and, most importantly, the wonderful things that have a story to tell.
I’ve always had a creative streak. I have a great love of Amateur Dramatics, having both performed in and directed productions, and when I’m not treading the boards, I can often be found sitting in the audience enjoying everything from Shakespeare to jukebox musicals. For me, theatre is all about atmosphere, character and storytelling — something I believe can be found in beautiful old furniture and treasured vintage pieces too.
Alongside my love of vintage, I’m a qualified upholsterer and a trained, practising massage therapist. It might seem like an unusual combination, but for me it all comes back to the same thing: creating a sense of comfort, wellbeing and beauty.
My love of all things homely runs in the family too. My brother Stephen and sister-in-law Sharon share the same passion through their own vintage and home interiors business, so a love of beautiful, characterful things is very much a family affair.

Among Friends is more than an online shop. I love meeting customers face-to-face and sharing my passion for vintage, so you can also find me trading at weekend markets across Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex.
It’s the perfect opportunity to see pieces in person, have a chat, browse for something a little bit special and, perhaps, discover a treasure that simply wasn’t on your shopping list!

Why “Among Friends”?
The name says everything about how I want my business to feel.
I love welcoming people into my world, and I believe that shopping for something special should feel less like a transaction and more like popping round to see a friend — somewhere you can browse, chat, discover something unexpected and perhaps leave with a treasure you never knew you needed.
And when I’m not working, among friends is exactly where I like to be.
