highly collectible piece of early 20th-century British social history—a complete C.W.S. Ltd (Co-operative Wholesale Society) "Hunting Assortment" biscuit tin, produced at their famous Crumpsall & Cardiff works. Dating from approximately the 1920s to the 1930s, this decorative octagonal tin features a beautifully detailed, traditional English fox hunting scene lithographed onto the lid. The graphic proudly displays huntsmen in traditional attire, riding horses alongside a hunting hound through the countryside.
