antique British stoneware ink bottle that originally held Stephens' Scarlet Writing Fluid No. 36. Based on its design and manufacturing history, it most likely dates from the late 19th century to the early 20th century (the Victorian or Edwardian era). Some of the original wax seal is still present. Bottle has chip to top (see photo) Still contains some liquid.
